Feel the feels

I’ve been feeling a lot of emotions today and I don’t know where they came from. So for my yoga class, I decided to set our intention to FEEL...

When we feel something, we are inclined to automatically label it. Whether if it’s good or bad. And when it’s something “bad”, we don’t usually want to feel it because who does right? It could be painful, and very uncomfortable.

Part of our make up as human beings is the ability to feel. Some may view this as a blessing and/or a curse. Some are also more sensitive than others.. and that’s why it could be seen as a curse.

The only way to release all these emotions (energy in motion) is to feel our way through it. Really feel it.. and allow ourselves to release. We can band aid it with distractions but it will always come back to haunt us. We have to simply allow ourselves to feel without any judgment. Allow our selves to be human. Accept all the good, the bad and everything in between.

So for today, and everyday of our lives.. May we give ourselves permission to FEEL through the ebbs and flows of life to go through it with ease and compassion.
